Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019!

Before jumping full speed into 2019, we wanted to slow down just for a moment in order to take a look at 2018 with some distance … and give it its own value and space.

2018 was a year of many changes for LD Eventos, changes that have already positively affected the company’s development and will do so over the next years, bringing challenges on a organizational and creative level.

First of all, we formalized our collaboration with the international promoter Live Nation -Madrid, LD Eventos now being the company in charge of coordinating the main productions booked by the promoter.

Amongst others, tours by artists such as Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Lana del Rey, Katy Perry, Beyoncé & Jay-Z (OTR II tour) or U2 (co-promoted by Live Nation and Doctor Music), adding up to a total of over 100 live music events including clubs, arenas and stadiums.

This increase in workload has also had important consequences on a structural and organizational level, as we have reinforced our team in Madrid as well as in Barcelona, having full gender parity!

2018 has also been a special year for the so-called slow events …on top of the well established #FreeYogaByOysho, a major meditation event for 500 people  #UrbanMeditationByRituals adds to the desire of creating events to disconnect from daily chores and connect more with oneself.

Further, LD Eventos was selected by Turkish Airlines Euroleague to coordinate the technical production, logistics and branding of the Final Four that took place in Belgrade, Serbia. With this project LD Eventos amplifies and consolidates its experience in international productions, in Europe as well as in China, Latin America, etc.

Another indispensable date for us is the International San Sebastian Film Festival, where we are happy to have been able to collaborate once again in the production festival’s official award ceremonies.

And with our product line of cardboard event structures, CartonBuild, we continue supporting more sustainable events. The Payment Innovation Hub trusted us with the design of a pop up store made entirely in cardboard in order to present their new solutions of invisible payments.

Ok, and now finally, it’s time to take a deep breath and focus all our energies on 2019, we’ll need them! And, looking back, I think we can come up with some good intentions for next year: growing “slowly”, collaborate in more international projects and keep on creating more sustainable events!
